The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Faith Formation is a lifelong process of learning, loving, and living our faith. The concept of lifelong learning invites each of us to continuously grow in our faith by learning and sharing with others in our community. With this in mind, our parish offers Faith Formation programs for every stage of our lives.
Pre-K – 9th Grade
Starting one’s Faith Formation at a young age is very important to us. We strive to find the best Catechists that we can and to provide our students with the ultimate building blocks of a lifelong journey of faith. We always encourage family involvement for events, classes, and sacraments. We are always looking for special individuals to help with our program, special events, and classroom aids.
Enhancing one’s Faith Formation at the teenage level is one of our largest blueprints. We provide our students with specific curriculum that mixes catechesis, the Word of God, Sacraments, and out of the classroom experiences. Our students take pride in their community and parish service. On behalf of our students, soon to be young adults, Faith Formation is lifelong and ongoing!
Vacation Bible School
Every Summer, we have our annual VBS. Teamed up with the Parish of Saints John and Andrew, we create a very unique adventure each year. Pre-K through 5th grade can participate. We always have an amazing group of role model volunteers that are teens, young adults, & parents. We enroll friends and neighbors; consider joining us during the best week of the Summer!
Youth Ministry (Grades 7-12)

Our Youth Ministry strives to provide effective and vibrant ministry to young people from grades 7-12. Our Youth Ministry helps young people share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need, participate in the sacraments, develop a personal spirituality and prayer life, apply Catholic faith to everyday life, integrate Catholic values, participate in the Church and develop a personal relationship with the person of Jesus Christ. Our youth group meets weekly, for activities, service, and events. We plan and participate in Parish, Regional, Diocesan and National Youth Ministry events and conferences, Christian service and fundraising with a love for God and his Church. Youth Ministry also works to build community between parish and families. We coordinate and organize youth programs that show a love and commitment to young people, facilitate youth leadership teams, recruit and train supporting adult volunteers. Our goal is to help our youth become confident young Catholic Christians, with a love for God and His church.
Young Adult Ministry
Ages 18-34
Young adults in the Southern Tier are invited to attend gatherings including Theology on Tap, First Friday Masses, and other social and religious events. Please refer to the Diocesan Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry.
Adult Faith Formation
A weekly Bible Study program is regularly offered, along with other occasional programs, to continually form all members of the parish in the Catholic Faith. Please see the bulletin or call the parish office for more information.
Formation for Ministry
Formation for Ministry (FFM) is for women and men who are mature people of faith and willing to accept responsibility for ministry in the Church. FFM is a two and half year diocesan program of education, ministerial training, field experience, and spiritual preparation of adult Catholics. It leads to certification in a specialized area of ministry and commissioning by the Bishop of the Syracuse Diocese. Commissioned Lay Ecclesial Ministers are asked to give three years of service to the parish. Interested parishioners are invited to speak with the pastor to discuss FFM. The pastor’s recommendation is required to take part in the program.
