+ Yesterday was one year since our lives were upended by the growing global pandemic. We asked some members of the St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament parish family how they coped and adapted to the myriad changes to what we knew as normal. As we reflect on the past year and how it has affected our faith lives, let us remember that as Christians, we are called to look forward with HOPE! Now as we prepare to journey through Holy Week together, take a few minutes to reflect upon Faith Connections in a Disconnected World.
+ Novena to St. Joseph for Increased Vocations – Day 6
O glorious Saint Joseph,
faithful follower of Jesus Christ,
to you we raise our hearts and hands
to implore your powerful intercession
in obtaining from the gentle heart of Jesus
all the helps and graces necessary
for our spiritual and temporal welfare,
particularly for the grace of a happy death
and the special favor we now request…
for an outpouring of vocations during this year of grace,
for the pastoral needs of our Diocese and its parishes,
for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life,
and for all our Priests and Consecrated Religious.
O guardian of the Word Incarnate,
we feel animated with confidence that your prayers
on our behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.
O glorious St. Joseph,
through the love you bear to Jesus Christ
and for the glory of His name,
hear our prayers and obtain our petitions. Amen
