+ Watch the Daily Mass, said for Benjamin Asaro, here.

+ Email scam alert: Beware if you receive an email that alleges to be from Fr. Jim (with a return address that doesn’t match his email), and has content similar to this:

Subject: Peace Unto You (your name), Hello, how are you doing? I need a favor from you, email me as soon as you get this message.  God Bless,Rev. JamesPastor.

This is a phishing scam trying to get you to send money (or gift cards) to a fake account. Report and delete.

+ The Women’s Club Ministry will once again hold its Wreath and Poinsettia Fundraiser. Due to our “new normal,” it will be presented in a slightly different format. The fundraiser will run from October 10 through November 1. There will be no table in the vestibule for ordering. This year, we will have flyers in the bulletin this weekend and for the duration of fundraiser additional flyers will be at the information table in the vestibule as well as downloadable here.
Fill in the order form on the flyer, attach your check (NO CASH) made out to STVBS Women’s Club, and mail it to the rectory (or drop it off) or place it in the collection basket. If you cannot get a flyer, don’t worry. Just put your name, address, phone number on a sheet of paper along with the item(s) you want to purchase and your check. If mailing, please use this address: STVBS Women’s Club Ministry, 165 Clifton Blvd., Vestal, NY 13850. If placing in the collection basket, make sure the envelope is marked “Wreath and Poinsettia Fundraiser.” Nanticoke Gardens will provide flower shop quality plants and their handmade Fraser Fir wreaths. The prices are the same as last year’s: $14 for Poinsettias (Red, Pink, White, Red Glitter) and $23 (small 18”) and $30 (large 24”) for Wreaths (actual diameter). Pickup is scheduled for December 5 and 6.
The Women’s Club Ministry appreciates your understanding of our new format this year and thanks you for your support of this fundraiser. If you have any questions, please call Barbara Tripp at (607) 760-2256.
