+ Read Dc. Tom’s Blog post about celebrating St. Patrick.

+ Happy St. Patrick’s Day! One of St. Patrick’s most revered writings is his Breastplate, a prayer that he said as a way of putting on spiritual armor each day while converting Ireland to Christianity. Here is a musical interpretation of that prayer, also called The Lorica or The Deer’s Cry.

+ Calling on our Amazing Parishioners… In the next few days, all parishioners will receive a USPS mailing with Easter Week schedules and a card which asks you to identify how you prefer to receive information from the parish. We are developing a system where important communications can be shared based on your individual preferences. Please take the time to define your preferences on the card and return it to the parish over the next two weeks. Thank you!

+ Novena to St. Joseph for Increased Vocations – Day 7

O glorious Saint Joseph,
faithful follower of Jesus Christ,
to you we raise our hearts and hands
to implore your powerful intercession
in obtaining from the gentle heart of Jesus
all the helps and graces necessary
for our spiritual and temporal welfare,
particularly for the grace of a happy death
and the special favor we now request…
for an outpouring of vocations during this year of grace,
for the pastoral needs of our Diocese and its parishes,
for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life,
and for all our Priests and Consecrated Religious.
O guardian of the Word Incarnate,
we feel animated with confidence that your prayers
on our behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.
O glorious St. Joseph,
through the love you bear to Jesus Christ
and for the glory of His name,
hear our prayers and obtain our petitions. Amen
