All Saint’s Day
You cannot be half a saint; you must be a whole saint or no saint at all.”-St. Therese of Lisieux
On this All Saints Day, perhaps we can reflect on the definition of a saint. My pastor when I was growing up told this story. A young girl was asked by a priest to define the word saint. The girl said it’s someone who light shines through. Then she pointed to the image on a stained-glass window where the sun beamed into the church.
While we all think of saints who have been canonized…officially declared by the church…there are many more in heaven who don’t officially have the title. And isn’t it possible that there are many among us now? People who the “light shines through.” Take some time to think and pray on it today, then look for them.
May all the saints pray for us today!
Peace,
