+ We will celebrate the Class of 2020 at the Grads Mass on the Grass, Sunday, August 9 at 10:00 am. To attend the Mass, please call the parish office to register at 722-3988.

+ Scholarship deadline soon: St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Parish will offer $250 scholarships for high school seniors who are registered and remain active members of our parish. Submit a letter to the parish office telling us a little bit about your future plans and how you intend to continue your faith and service as a faithful Catholic. The deadline to apply is Sunday, July 12. Winners will be announced at the Grads Mass.

Congratulations

+ STVBS Parish Council elected officers for the upcoming year. Congratulations to our new officers: President - Carol Giorgio; Vice President - Marilee Beyer; and Secretary - Kevin Burgher. Father Jim asked Carol and Carman Garufi to serve on the council.

+ Bishop Lucia appointed Mary Haust to serve as Parish Trustee along with Greg Hrostowski for the next year.

Rocky Railways Virtual Vacation Bible School: Register now! Attention all children—we are hosting a Virtual Vacation Bible School to be launched July 27 through July 31 (OR ANY TIME AFTER!) in your home, on vacation, or wherever you are. This year our theme is Rocky Railway: Jesus' Power Pulls Us Through! We know we have screen fatigue right now, but come end of July we are hoping our Virtual VBS structure with hands on activities during video clips, singing/dancing in your living room and at home suggested games, snacks, and crafts, will be just what your family is looking for. Hope Alive

+ Steubenville Youth Conference “LIVE!”: Calling all teens entering Grades 9 and up! We’ve missed YOU! It’s time to reconnect. We will be hosting (in person, socially distancing of course) the very first virtual conference, Steubenville Live! This will be a virtual event like no other, livestreamed from Steubenville, Florida. What you can expect: no pre-recorded talks, fully interactive (games, outdoor activities, small group discussion, etc.), powerful worship music, plus food, fun & friendship once again! And, of course, Jesus will be there—the source of our hope! Join us Friday, July 17-Sunday, July 19 at St. Vincent Blessed Sacrament Church. + Call for recipes! Do you have a favorite dessert recipe you'd like to share? The STVBS Women’s Club Ministry is on a mission.....and that is to collect and compile our parishioners’ very best recipes into our own parish cookbook. We have been so impressed over the past few years with the wonderful dishes that parishioners have all contributed to various events and now it’s time to share all those “recipe secrets” with your parish family. If you'd like to help out, all the details plus a recipe template to submit can be found on the website's new cookbook page HERE. Please complete and submit forms as soon as possible but no later than August 15, 2020.

Class of 2020 Mass

+ Congratulations Class of 2020!
As the Class of 2020 celebrates its graduation this weekend, we want you to know there will be a special Mass to be held in your honor on Sunday, August 9 at 10 a.m. at the St.VBS Grotto Altar. To attend, please call the parish office at 722-3988. Scholarships will be presented and a special blessing for all.

+ Women’s Club Ministry ScholarshipJust a reminder that the deadline for submitting applications for the STVBS Women’s Club Ministry $1,000 scholarship is Tuesday, June 30. The STVBS Women’s Club Ministry is awarding one $1,000 scholarship to a female high school student graduating in 2020. The applicant must be a registered member of STVBS and have maintained at least a B average. Applications are available in the vestibule or by sending an email to: kwiegs@stny.rr.com with the words “scholarship application” in the subject line. + Reminder - Mass obligation suspension still in effect: The dispensation from attending Sunday Mass and Holy Days remains in effect per the directive from Bishop Lucia. This includes those individuals with underlying medical conditions, those experiencing upper respiratory or flu-like symptoms, the sick, the elderly, those who care for individuals at risk, or those who still do not feel comfortable being in a public setting. When in doubt, for your safety and out of concern for others, please stay home.
