Parish Picnic 2020

+ Parish Picnic To Go volunteers are needed! As you know, our picnics in the past have been a huge success due to the many volunteers that made it all happen. This year, although different in how we celebrate as a parish, we still need volunteers to make it all run smoothly and have a good time as well! Keeping with NYS safety guidelines in mind, we are asking for volunteers for the following days and times. If you would like to be a part of STVBS' AMAZING Kitchen Crew, please contact Kim Brosius at kim14564@aol.com or leave a message at 607-238-1400 stating what day(s) and time(s) you would like to volunteer. Thank you, also, for the volunteers who have already signed up. You are AMAZING!! Please note social distancing will be observed at all times. Masks and gloves will be worn in preparing the sides, putting orders together and distributing meals. If you have a red volunteer T-shirt from last year, please wear it on Sunday.

Saturday, August 8, 9 a.m.-Noon: 8-10 volunteers needed for sides making; depending on how many pre-orders are received will determine how many of each side to make.

Sunday, August 9, there will be 2 shifts:
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: 6-10 volunteers needed for meal prep and distribution;
12:00-2:30 p.m.: 6-8 volunteers needed for meal prep and distribution.

+ Nearly New Shop closing its current site: Since 1969 the Ladies of Charity have been successfully operating The Nearly New Shop, serving the less fortunate in our community. They have been informed that they must vacate their current site. They hope to be able to relocate in the future. They write, "We are eternally grateful to all of you who have generously donated to the ongoing success of the shop. The many ladies who’ve dedicated countless hours in this charitable endeavor regret to report this, but we are confident that prayers of support will assist us in continuing our good work."
